How far in advance do I need to book?
The earlier the better! If you’re looking for a bespoke balloon creation, we want to ensure plenty of time to get your desired colors and/or specialty balloons in stock. Two weeks ahead is ideal, but we are always happy to try and accommodate your timeframe. Balloon Baby is a small company and our calendar fills up fast. Confirming your order in advance ensures that we can prioritize your order on your desired delivery date.
If ordering a Balloon Bunch or Classic Garland, we require just 48 hours (but we’d love more time if you can spare it!). These are less customized pieces and we can always work with the varied colors that we have in stock. If specific colors and/or specialty balloons are requested, we will try our very best to accommodate, but these cannot be guaranteed if ordered less than two weeks out.
What is required to book my date?
An event is only considered “booked” when payment is rendered. Full prepayment is required for jobs totaling less than $400.00. A 50% deposit is taken for jobs totaling $400 or more. In these cases, final payment is due 2 days prior to the event.
When you are ready to confirm and book your date, a custom listing will be created for you in our online shop.
How long will my balloons last?
There are lots of factors that will affect the life of your balloons. Because of this, we cannot guarantee the lifespan of our product after it leaves our hands BUT indoors and away from sharp objects your balloons could last for weeks. Months even! Outdoors is a bit more tricky… Outside displays generally can last from 1 to 3 days, but this is highly dependent on the weather and environmental factors. You can expect that your balloons will look less and less pristine & perfect as the days go on.
What about my outdoor installation if there are high winds or rain on my event date?
Unfortunately, we can’t control the weather, but we can work with you on alternative options for your balloons. If weather or other extenuating circumstances prevents a balloon installation from taking place or being delivered, you may reschedule within one year, free of charge or penalty. If your date is not flexible, we can talk about moving your installation indoors. For larger events without date flexibility we will talk about Plan B during our planning stages.
Do you offer helium?
No, not at this time. Helium is a natural resource and there is actually a world-wide helium shortage at the moment. This does not mean that helium has run out or that more sources of helium won’t be discovered, but for now, it is more expensive. We like to find alternatives to helium if we can. We also strongly discourage the release of helium balloons into the atmosphere. It’s just super bad for Mama Earth.
Speaking of Mama Earth… aren’t balloons like, really bad for the environment?
Good question... And the answer is complicated. Balloons can be really bad for the environment if not used responsibly. Balloon Baby chooses the highest quality latex, which is produced in the USA and Canada. These latex balloons are biodegradable and photodegradable. Latex balloons decompose at the same rate as an oak leaf, but we still do our best to prevent littering and detaching them from string.
Can I cancel an order?
Of course! We want you to be happy and confident in any order that you place. If your plans have changed, you may cancel at any time, however a 50% deposit will be forfeited if cancelled within 14 days of your event date. This is because we have already purchased your balloons and blocked out your date on our calendar. Full payment is forfeited if cancelled within 24 hours of the event date, as we have already started preparing your balloons.
A Balloon Bunch or Classic Garland purchase where no specialty requests have been made would be exempt from a cancellation fee.
Do you have a price list?
Not really... Most of our balloons are custom works that we create and price just for you, so we encourage you to request a quote and provide as much detail as possible. You can, however, find base prices for most of our custom options on the Balloon Offerings page. Balloon Bunches and Classic Garlands are priced as marked in our shop.
What colors can I choose from?
There are many great options available to us from our different suppliers, but if you have a specific shade in mind, we can try to create something custom just for you. This is done by combining two different balloons and results in a custom color with a super modern, luxe look.
I have a photo of a design I like. Can you recreate it?
Inspiration is everywhere and we want to know what you’re loving right now! If you have a specific photo that you’re motivated by, please send it along, as we want to manage expectations at all times. That said, at Balloon Baby we have our own style and vibe, which will be reflected in the work that we produce. We do not copy the work of others. So, while we can find inspiration in a photo that you provide, please do not expect an exact recreation of another company’s work.
